Night of Stars
Hylton's Creative Writing and Journalism electives and clubs are hosting a Night of Stars (formally known as Coffee Night) on Tuesday, November 25th from 6:00 - 8:30 PM.  You are invited to come and support some of Hylton's talented students and staff members as they perform.  Admission is $5.00.  Click here for a flyer with more information. 
Thanksgiving Break
Thanksgiving break begins with a half day of school on Wednesday, November 26th. Students will be released at 10:50 AM that day and will have the next two days, November 27th & 28th, off from school. School will resume on Monday, December 1st, and that will be an odd day.  Have a safe and happy Thanksgiving holiday!

Transcript Requests & Winter Break
Seniors: If you have a college application deadline of January 1, please remember we are not in school to process transcript requests. All January 1 transcript deadlines must be requested through Naviance no later than December 1Transcript deadlines of January 15 must be requested no later than December 8. Any transcript requested after these dates will be processed after Winter Break and may not meet the college deadline.​
Financial Aid Presentation
Attention Parents/Guardians of 12th graders: Please join us on Wednesday, December 3rd at 7:00 PM in Hylton's auditorium. We will have a guest presenter, Felice Rollins, from College Momentum.  Ms. Rollins will be discussing the financial aid process when paying for college. We hope to see you there!
Order Your Cap and Gown!
Herff Jones will be in the Commons during all lunch shifts on Friday, December 12th. During this time, seniors will be able to order caps and gowns as well as other senior items. 
Senior Ad Sales for Yearbook
Interested in purchasing an Ad in the back of the 2015 yearbook to celebrate your Senior? It's not too late! Click here for pricing and more information on ordering. Email CentinMT@pwcs.edu with additional questions. The final deadline to order a Senior Ad is Monday, December 15th.
Applications for Hylton's Specialty Programs
Are you interested in applying for one of Hylton High School's specialty programs: The Center for International Studies and Languages (CISL); TV Production; or Automotive Technology? If so, click here to access the online program application. *You may encounter a security warning prior to accessing the application. The website is safe; please push through the security warning. The deadline for Hylton's specialty program applications is February 1, 2015. If your base school is Hylton High School, and you are interested in one of these speciality programs, you will also need to complete the online application. Students currently enrolled in one of Hylton's speciality programs do not need to reapply for the 2015-16 school year.
High School Program Information Nights
Mark your calendars!  On Tuesday, January 13th, Hylton High School is hosting an information night for all students, parents and guardians interested in the different high school programs we will offer in 2015-16. These include the Center for International Studies and Languages, the TV Production program and the Auto Tech program. The event will begin at 7 p.m. Specific locations for the different programs will be listed as you enter the building. The county-wide on-line application process will be explained at both events.

High School Diplomats
Are you interested in participating in the High School Diplomats Program at Princeton University, July 28 - August 8? 40 American high school students are selected to share this experience with 40 Japanese students. You may apply during your sophomore and junior years. Click here for more information, including an article written by Hylton Seniors Anna Stapor and Ian Ware where they share their experiences from last summer's program at Princeton University.
Office 365 / Microsoft Office for Students
In addition to C.D. Hylton Google Apps accounts, PWCS is providing students with Microsoft Office 365 accounts. With this account comes licenses for the student to install MS Office 2013 software on up to 5 devices of his/her choice. This video will walk students through the process of signing in for the first time and downloading the software.  Students must sign in to their accounts for the first time from a school computer.  Students interested in registering for an account can see Mrs. Treichler in Room E165B.
Procedures for School Closings & Delays
